D. Bello Associates was founded in 1988 in order to provide the title insurance industry with expert title plant consulting. The successful management of a single title backplant offshore in 1988 altered the course of the company. The growing need for electronic title plants fueled the construction of dozens of title backplants throughout the next decade.
In the early 1990’s we oversaw the development of the first offshore daily title plant. The enormous success of this project allowed for the offshore movement of data entry in the title industry, thereby transforming the industry’s ability to construct and maintain title plants.
In 1999 D. Bello Associates launched its first offshore searching project. This service soon expanded to include title chain examination, commitment typing and customized policy preparation. Search and exam services have evolved into the fastest growing aspect of our organization, with hundreds of searches being successfully processed across 2 shifts on a daily basis.
Today D. Bello Associates manages document posting and title searches nationwide. In the past decade, we have ensured the success of over 100 title projects. We are dedicated to continuing to provide our clients with outsourced title production of the highest possible value.
Doug has devoted his entire career to the title insurance industry, beginning in 1970 with his first job with Chicago Title. In 1973 he joined HW Systems, Inc., one of the first data processing companies to build and install online title plants, and managed the formation of the first online plant in the state of Hawaii. From there, Doug transitioned into the presidential position at Title Records, Inc., overseeing the daily operations of the largest title plant in the United States.
In 1988 Doug founded D. Bello Associates with the intention of offering title plant consulting to the industry. His expertise and experience made him a sought-after consultant. In 1989 he was elected by a federal judge to serve on a committee to refurbish Hawaii’s recording system. Many of his recommendations remain in place today. In the early 1990’s, Doug served as a consultant for the Russian Land Privatization Committee to discuss land reform and private ownership under the restructuring policy of Perestroika.
